On May 2, 2004, Pat Pine passed away at her home in New
Paltz. Pat dedicated her professional life to serving the
seniors of New York. Her background as an AAA Director in
the counties of Dutchess and Ulster gave Pat the first-hand
knowledge of what is important at the grassroots level.
Pat's tenure as the Executive Deputy Director of the New
York State Office for Aging saw the germination of an
initiative which has come to be known as Project 2015. Her
subsequent appointment as Director of the State Office was
lauded by all: AAAs and providers, as well as the academic
community.
Pat is survived by her husband Dr. Vanderlyn R. Pine,
five children and eight grandchildren.
