Network in Aging of Western New York will hold it's Annual Town Hall Meeting on Aging at 1 pm on
Friday, February 25th at the Cheektowaga Senior Center, 3349 Broadway (next to Cheektowaga Police
Department).
Registration is from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
This event provides you with an opportunity to let key New York State legislators know about the policy
and budget-related concerns you have relative to aging services for older adults. NYS Senator Martin Golden,
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aging and NYS Assemblyman Steve Englebright, Chairman of the
Assembly Committee on Aging have been invited to attend and preside over the meeting along with Senator
George Maziarz, former Chairman of the Committee on Aging and current Aging Committee member.
Attendees are invited to provide testimony at the Town Hall Meeting and are requested to limit their remarks to
3 minutes.
The Town Hall Meeting will be held at a critical time for advocates to share their views with legislators who can
influence policy, budgetary, and regulatory changes that impact on older adults.
Kindly forward this information to other interested parties, professional groups, and associations who may wish
to attend or provide testimony.
If you plan to attend or provide testimony, please contact JoAnn Lewandowski (829-3712) or e-mail her at
jll7@acsu.buffalo.edu
This is a challenging time for service providers in the aging network so we hope you will attend the
Town Hall Meeting and share your views.
