NYSAAAA Supports Geriatric Mental Health Legislation
Older adults with mental disorders are currently underserved and will become increasingly underserved as the senior population grows. A bill has been introduced (A.7672/S.4742) which proposes to lay the groundwork to meet the mental health needs of older adults and to prepare for the coming elder boom.
NYSAAAA has released a statement in support of increased attention to the issue of geriatric mental health.
